Begin Spinner
With Brown Cotton Yarn, ch 52.
Row 1. Make 2 dc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across. Ch 2 turn. (100 dc,)
Row 2. Dc in each of the 100 sts. Ch 2 and turn.
Row 3. D2c2tog across. Ch 3 turn. (50 dc) ch 1 and turn.
For this row we will be joining the two sides tog using the last row made and the unworked loops on the beg ch. Prepare the piece by folding the last row and the beg ch foundation tog and ch 1.
Row 4. Working through both loops,
Sc the pieces tog. Continue with each of the next 49 sts.
Hint: After I have made about 15 or so leaves I like to arrange them on my piece and sew them down without breaking the thread. This way if I need to make more I don't have to reattach the thread.
I made about 18 leaves.
Wind the vine along the spinner and sew in place. Set aside.
With Flowers color, make a magic circle and ch 1.
With #3 thread and a size E hook make a magic circle, leaving a long tail.
Upper left wing: Ch 7, in the ring make 1 dtrc, 2 trc and 1 dc. Ch 2 and sl st into the ring. Lower left wing: Ch 2, in ring make dc and trc. Ch 3 and sl st into the ring.
Lower right wing: Ch 3 and make a trc and a dc. Ch 2 and sl st into the ring. Upper right wing: Ch 2 and in ring make a dc, 2 trc and 1 dtrc. Ch 6 and sl st back into the ring. End off leaving a long tail.
Tighten the circle and tie the 2 loose ends together for the antenna. Trim to the desired length.
With Red, make a magic circle and ch 1. Make 8 hdc in the ring. Join to the 1st hdc made with a sl st. Tighten ring. Cut off both threads and weave in the ends.
Attach black thread with a sl st in any st. Sc and hdc in the same st. In the next st make a hdc, sc and a sl st. End off and weave in all ends.
Now embroider as shown below.
Glue the flowers and lady bugs to the twig as shown. Hang the Butterflies with the fishing string as shown. Add a suncatcher and beads if desired.
